Privacy Policy

What we collect

For a parent/guardian account: an email address and password.

For each activated tag: a child's first name (only — never a full name), a contact phone number, and your chosen contact method (call, text, or both). Both are encrypted before storage, on top of standard database encryption. We deliberately do not collect or store a child's photo, school, address, or any location/tracking data — there's no field for any of it, by design.

If someone uses a Premium tag's message-relay form, we store the message they write and, if they choose to provide one, a way for you to reply to them. We do not collect the finder's identity beyond what they choose to type in.

What we never show

A scanned tag never displays your phone number as visible text, and the number does not appear in the page's underlying source. Finders can only initiate a call or text through a button; the number itself is only handed to your device's dialer/messaging app at the moment of that action.

Who we share data with

We use Cloudflare for hosting and our database, Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated abuse of our signup and activation forms, and Resend to send account and notification emails. None of these providers receive your data for their own marketing or resale purposes.

Your rights

From your account settings you can download a full copy of everything we have on your account, or delete your account entirely. Deleting your account removes your login and personal info from every tag you own; a stranger who later scans one of those tags will see a neutral "no longer active" message, not your data.

Retention

Your account and tag data are kept for as long as your account is active. Deleted account data is removed immediately, not held in a recovery period.

Children's data

This service is operated by and for adults — a parent or guardian creates the account and enters their child's information themselves. Children do not create accounts, log in, or interact with this service directly.
